What we have done so far......(Part 2)
May 24th
Check in at hotel and have a Pizza and a few beers.
May 25th
Breakfast in Beverly Hills and try to shop on Rodeo Drive. Need a credit check to even get through the doors.
Drive up to the hills and around Hollywood.
Head for Redondo Beach, John O complaining he is not feeling well
Park up and John O chucks up in the first bin he finds on the beach
Dave has a lovely lunch and a couple of glasses of wine on the pier over looking the Pacific whilst John O has a little nap. (See other post)
Head back to LAX, drop the car off
Check-in and head for the first class lounge, John O goes to sleep again! (See other post)

What we have done so far..............
16th May
Meet at Heathrow and fly to LA.
Pick up car, drive to hotel, have dodgy Burritos in Taco "Hell"
17th May
Drive to Beverley Hills for Breakfast
Lunch in Hollywood
Drive out to Santa Monica for a beer on the pier.
Stop at Marina Del Rey for another beer.
Back to hotel for beers at a bar near The USC
18th May
Drive from LA to the Hoover Dam stopping at the Out Post Cafe, Oak Hills CA, for Breakfast 285 miles
Visit Hoover Dam and do the tour of the dam including the power plant
Head for Las Vegas 40 miles
Arrive at Vegas and check into the MGM Grand
More beers and a meal on the strip
19th May
Tour of Vegas taking in Denny's for breakfast
Drive out to Valley of Fire and visit the tourist centre
Lunch at
Back to Vegas, beers, meal and hit the casino.
Dave's happy John's not so!
20th May
Head out to San Francisco via Yosemite
Breakfast at Mom's cafe, Pahrump (don't ask!)
Head for Death Valley and Badwater. 141 miles so far!
Stop at Stovepipe Wells for lunch.
Head for Yoesemite only to discover at Independence filling up with gas that Yosemite is still closed due to the snow. Another 138 miles.
Change of plan, now head for Reno! 245 miles
Arrive in Reno, total journey from Vegas to Reno 524 miles!
Check in at the Silver Legacy, Reno! Another night in the casino. See one of the funniest things ever at the Roulette table!
21st May
Head for San Francisco.
Breakfast at Truckee
Arrive in San Francisco 218 miles later and check in at hotel at Fisherman's Wharf
Lunch at the Neptune
Off to Alcatraz, amazing tour!
Hard Rock Cafe on Pier 39 for a few beers
China Town later that night
22nd May
Dave has a bad migraine, John O is Johnny no mates for the morning. Dave attempts breakfast at Johnny Rockets and almost pukes so goes back to bed for an hour.
Dave recovers and we head for Market St to do some shopping
Cable Car back to Fisherman's Wharf
A few more beers and dinner at the Franciscan Crab Restaurant on Fisherman's Wharf
23rd May
Leave SF for LA
Hit Route 1 and stop at Monterey for breakfast
Route 1 closed halfway to LA so we detour over the mountains to get on 101. What a journey!
Lunch at Grover Beach
Stop and Santa Barbara for a well earned cup of tea.
Arrive in LA around 19.30 473 miles!
Meet at Heathrow and fly to LA.
